Bhooth Bangla added ₹1.35Cr on Day 25, taking its India net total to ₹160.10Cr.

Steady numbers in Week 4, but the sharp drop signals the film has entered its final phase.
The film dropped 66.2% from the previous day and 22.9% week-on-week. This kind of decline is typical for horror-comedies once the initial curiosity and festive advantage wear off.
Performance Analysis
Bhooth Bangla enjoyed a solid opening thanks to Akshay Kumar’s star power and Priyadarshan’s direction. The combination of horror and comedy worked well in the first two weeks, especially in mass and family circuits. However, the weekdays have been inconsistent. The film is currently sitting at 1.33x its ₹120Cr budget — which technically puts it in Average territory. To be classified as a clean HIT, it needs to reach at least 1.75x (₹210Cr+ India net).
The overseas gross of ₹53.15Cr has provided some cushion, pushing the worldwide total to ₹243.12Cr. This makes the film profitable on paper when satellite, digital, and other ancillary rights are considered. However, for a film of this scale and budget, domestic performance remains the key metric that defines success in Bollywood.
The sharp drop on Day 25 (66.2%) shows that repeat value is limited. Horror-comedies usually have front-loaded business, and Bhooth Bangla is following that pattern. After the initial hype around Akshay Kumar returning to the horror-comedy space, the film has struggled to maintain momentum in Week 4.
Priyadarshan’s experience in the comedy-horror genre helped create some memorable sequences, and Akshay Kumar delivered his typical energetic performance. Yet the script and second half appear to have let the film down, preventing it from becoming a word-of-mouth success. Family audiences, in particular, have shown limited interest beyond the opening period.
This performance once again highlights the challenge big-budget Bollywood comedies face in 2026 — they need exceptional writing and universal appeal to sustain beyond the first two weeks. Bhooth Bangla had the ingredients for a bigger hit but ultimately settled for an average run.
