Pati Patni Aur Woh Do added ₹3.25Cr on its fourth day. The Mudassar Aziz-directed comedy has now crossed ₹20Cr in India Net, but the steep fall from its opening weekend has become impossible to ignore.
The film benefited from Ayushmann Khurrana’s star value and the adult comedy tone during its opening days. However, the second-week correction has been severe. At just 0.59x of its reported ₹35Cr budget, the film is already under significant commercial pressure.
Unless it manages to find strong word-of-mouth in smaller towns and single-screen centres over the next week, the film risks getting buried under the wave of bigger releases arriving on May 22. The early signs suggest that the initial curiosity around the sequel has not translated into sustained interest.
