This is one of the better Day 1 figures for a Kollywood film in 2026, especially considering the major last-minute chaos involving morning show cancellations and financial disputes that delayed the release by a day.
The film faced significant operational hurdles, yet Suriya’s loyal fanbase ensured packed houses once the screenings finally began. Advance bookings were solid, and evening/night shows ran to strong occupancy in key centres.
Trajectory & Opening Pattern Despite the disruptions, the ₹15.50Cr figure is impressive and shows the star’s pulling power remains intact. However, at 0.12x budget ratio on Day 1, the film is still deep in disaster territory given its high ₹130Cr budget. A very strong multiplier over the coming weeks will be required for any chance of recovery.
