Kara Hit or Flop Verdict
Kara arrives on the strength of Dhanush's star power and Vignesh Raja's track record with Por Thozhil. The 1991 period setting and Gulf War backdrop give it a distinctive flavour within the Tamil action genre. Netflix's pre-acquisition signals strong content confidence. About Kara
Kara (2026) is a Tamil action thriller directed by Vignesh Raja — his second film after the acclaimed Por Thozhil (2023). The film marks Dhanush's 54th project and stars him as Karasamy, a man returning to protect his ancestral land in 1991 Ramanathapuram during the Gulf War fuel crisis.
