Although down from the previous day, adding close to $5.7M mid-week is an excellent figure for a film at this stage. At $403.8M after 24 days, the film has crossed 2.02x of its $200M budget and is very comfortably profitable.
The film has shown excellent legs so far, supported by strong family audience loyalty and positive word-of-mouth. Overseas markets have performed very well, with the worldwide gross now exceeding $879M.
Reality check: Toy Story 5 is performing very well for a sequel. Its consistent numbers deep into the fourth week suggest it has strong audience retention and is on track to become one of the more successful animated releases of the year.
